Michael Anne Conley
Long before I was a health educator and holistic therapist, I learned the value of changing the world one person at a time.
I started with myself in my 20s, when I began my quest to transform my own life. Today, I gladly share what I've discovered with you.
I’ve been passionate about health and wellness for years. In 1977, faced with the puzzle of why some foods made me feel sick, I began to transition away from journalism, where I’d been working as a newspaper and freelance reporter.
A more personal journey was in store. I began learning about nutrition and herbalism on my own, and then returned to school to study clinical holistic health education.
This interest went in surprising directions as I discovered the role families play in our life choices. After completing my master’s degree in 1985, I continued training, and was licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 1991.
Thankfully, I found a welcoming attitude about my holistic perspective in the alcohol and drug treatment field. In this work I discovered some secrets that fit the American Way of Addiction to Just about Everything. So I designed my Habits Into Health approach to share what’s possible for anyone in everyday life.
I continue my passion for health and wellness in other ways, too.
In 1993, I founded and direct Stillpoint Integrative Health Center in Lafayette, California, USA, which is my professional home base.
In addition to private consulting, speaking and leading groups, I enjoy movies, dancing, reading and writing. In 2016, it was a first for me to participate in a self-care anthology called Come Out of Hiding And SHINE, which is available on Amazon. Check out my chapter about “Meeting Destiny On the Road,” in which I tell a bit more of my story and offer some tips for handling stress.
On my journey, I’ve found some practical ways to transform my own life. I’m here to help you do the same thing for yourself.
